The foundation awards prizes to the best poets and poems published in every Prism anthology.
Our International Poetics Foundation Laureate is awarded every year in the first spring anthology. The Laureate is honoured throughout the year in every Prism.
Moreover, every poem published in a given book goes through blind judging by anonymous academics, and several prizes are awarded in the next book. Among those:
the Bruce Dawe Memorial Prize for the best (long) free verse,
the Vera Rich Memorial Prize for the best (long) rhyming poem,
and the W.S. Merwin Memorial Prize.
Special prizes are also awarded for shorter verse, form poetry, Oriental forms, etc…
